Teachable

Teach me Your way, O Lord;

I will walk in Your truth;

Unite my heart to fear Your name.

I will give thanks to You, O Lord my God,

with all my heart,

and will glorify Your name forever.

For Your lovingkindness toward me is great,

and You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.   

Ps. 86:11-13 

Make a way

Truth springs from the earth, 

and righteousness looks down from heaven.

Indeed, the Lord will give what is good,

and our land will yield its produce.

Righteousness will go before Him

and will make His footsteps into a way.

Psalm 85:10-13  

Better is one day...

For a day in Your courts 

is better than a thousand outside.

I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God,

than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

For the Lord God is a sun and shield;

The Lord gives grace and glory; 

No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.

O Lord of hosts,

How blessed is the man who trusts in You!

Thanksgiving as a sacrifice

He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving

honors Me;

and to him who orders his way aright

I shall show the salvation of God.

Comfort

Who comforts us in every trouble, 

so that we may also be able to comfort

those who are in any kind of trouble or distress, 

with the comfort with which we ourselves 

are comforted by God.

2 Corinthians 1:4 

Listen expectantly

I will listen [with expectancy] to what God the Lord will say,

for He will speak peace to His people,

to His saints (those who are in right standing with Him) -

but let them not turn again to [self-confident] folly.

Bubbling over!

May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace

in believing [through the experience of your faith]

that by the power of the Holy Spirit

you may abound and be overflowing
